SoupCycle is 13 weeks old this week! That might not sounds like much…because it isn’t, but so much has changed since Shauna and I started this crazy business in July. We’ve worked from 7 weekly Soupetarians in our first week up to 45 hard-core Soupscribers. We’ve been learning how to buy the veggies that go in our soup directly from the farm (we buy lots from Dennison Farms in Corvallis), and how fun, challenging (and wet) bicycle delivery can be. It’s been a crazy ride so far, with a few lows and (thankfully) many highs.
Lowest low so far: finding our soup fridge unplugged in the morning of week 4, calling all our customers to give them the sad news, remaking all our soups and delivering them a day late. Ouch.
Highest highs: getting customer emails telling us how they love the soup and that “the salad dressing is so good it’s like crack-cocaine!” (no joke!).
